Might be a UK thing. Here in the US I don’t think I’ve ever been to a theater that allowed any outside food or drink. I doubt it’s because of safety, I’m pretty sure it’s because it would cut into their profits from concession stand sales.

To be fair, a lot of movie theaters ban bringing in outside food. At least in my experience. I agree with just not eating though. It would certainly be healthier to decouple moviegoing from snacking.
Because that would entail extra effort and cost in order to benefit humanity in general, and why do that when they can just keep more profit for themselves?
In my case it was a music composition app (Xewton Music Studio) that used to have both Android and iOS versions, but then some other company bought them out and discontinued the Android version.
I still have my old phone since it has at least one paid app on it that was removed from the Play store. I can’t download the app I paid money for to my new phone, but I can still use the copy installed on my old phone.
Realizing this has completely dissuaded me from spending money on apps, but that’s a whole other thing…
Is it possible to convert an existing Home installation to a Pro installation without completely wiping the system and reinstalling everything?
Can those services and registry keys be disabled on Home editions as well?
I don’t go for soft drinks often, but when I want one there’s a few brands of root beer that come in glass bottles that stores near me keep stocked.
Guessing that LLM will be named Comrade
If he dies in office, we get President Vance, which could be a worse prospect for democracy than Trump.
Steam Controller is a flawed masterpiece that I wish we had gotten another iteration of.
Also, speaking of the 8bitdo Pro 2 line, the wired Xbox version of the Pro 2 is pretty great. It’s similar to the regular Pro 2, but it has analog triggers, uses Xinput, and has Xbox coloring and branding. It’s like they took the best parts of Xbox, SNES, and Playstation controllers and mushed them all together.
Thanks, I hadn’t heard about this until now and was able to grab a copy.
Gas I do not use so I do not care.
I don’t own a car and don’t use gas either. But my food, clothes, toiletries, mail, and lots of other things I need all probably required gas in order to get to me. If you live in a city, especially a US city, chances are high that you rely on gasoline a great deal just to get food, even if it’s only indirectly.
I feel like, if the USSR is to blame for modern Russia, then Tsarist Russia shares some of the blame as well
There are way more evangelicals supporting Israel than there are Israeli-Americans, so I’d say mainly evangelicals. And that difference only gets bigger if you start including other conservative Christian groups.
Came here to mention Loria as well. I like to call it “Warcraft 2.5”
Beehaw definitely reminds me of the couple of vBulletin forums I used to post on back in the day. Smaller scale, mild pace, and I start to recognize people after sticking around a while. Much more of a community feel. I really missed that.
Personally I hadn’t heard the red-to-black story debunked at all until reading this thread, so I appreciate the thorough clarification.
You’re not kidding!

If they just stop watching, they’re not wielding power over people they hate.
All of the conservative handwringing over “cancel culture” for the better part of the past decade was them wishing they could do all the canceling themselves.
