  • I recently tried duo lingo. I have a pretty strong background in Spanish, but want to brush up. It became apparent very quickly that the app is not about learning so much as keeping you in it. The lessons don’t make a ton of sense, and after not using app for a week, it demoted me to just 8 words that you would learn in your first class (hombre, el, agua, tu, etc.). There is no way to skip ahead.

Pretty cool. If there was something between this and standard bloated Win 11, I would love that. It took me forever to uninstall/block half of the garbage that comes with the OS. It’s gotten ridiculous. Tiny 11 sounds like it scrapes just a little too much.

Yeah, yeah, I have Linux on another machine, but there are a number of things that I’m not technically proficient enough to figure out on Linux. He’ll, I’m still struggling to get Jellyfin to work remotely.

  • I disagree. I’m an ex tech guy, and I found it to be a pain in the ass. I really appreciate everything that everyone here does, but it’s empty enough that I recognize a number of users. The average person isn’t signing up. At 50k active users, our voice is small.

I don’t know what the grand vision is, but if it’s to provide the people with a corporate free perform, there needs to be… The People.
