This is the game OP is looking for if they haven’t played it. The remake is great! SS2 is more build focused if they’re more into that and it can be modded easily with a lot of QOL changes.
Prey and Bioshock should be next if they haven’t played that.
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. A Gamcube game that’s being remastered for the Switch. There was a lot of speculation if Nintendo would take out some of the more dark/adult themes of the game (like the mentioned gallows) if they did remake/remaster it. Seems like it’s pretty true to the original seeing that the gallows was kept.
