Unfortunately I can’t use the app for my public transport ticket because it doesn’t support .pkpass files.
Most likely IT has restricted MFA to MS Authenticator. I don’t know if there is a workaround or if you should use it if there was. But I can totally understand you. Having no choice sucks.
I heard about it. However, I find the need to reinstall all apps via Obtainium quite painstaking and thus haven’t done so yet. It doesn’t provide auto updates either.
I’m using FOSS app Element for Android.
Hoping either for some more Gamecube remakes, e.g. Twilight Princess, or for Gamecube games being added to Nintendo Switch Online.
There is of you click on the image.
I like both games for what they are. Though I have already forgotten how TotK began, I still remember the moment when I left the shrine of resurrection in BotW. That open world (moment) was incredible. TotK on the other side has a bit more of the original Zelda charme regarding dungeons and the like and I really do love the temples. I am not so keen for the crafting part, but than I just don’t spend too much time on it.
Since this is some of Monolith’s earlier work and I didn’t play it on the Gamecube I’m really looking forward to it.
IMO it isn’t so much about knowing who you are, but where you are, what you do, what you like etc. From that they (e.g. G👀gle) will extrapolate a profile and do whatever they want with it - faked data or not.
Furthermore Fitbit belongs to Google. I wouldn’t use a Google product if I was concerned about privacy.
Just having a look at it, ty.
Unfortunately it looks like like your device isn’t officially supported.
To install a degoogled Android aka custom ROM is way more efficient than to degoogle native Android aka Stock ROM.
However there are several ways to at least reduce the amount of spyware on Stock ROM:
F-Droid for FOSS apps
Aurora for Google Playstore apps
OSMAnd for navigation
Oeffi for public transport
many Simple Mobile Tools apps
K-9 Mail
Tor browser
Shelter for isolating apps
Tusky for Mastodon
Jerboa for Lemmy
Nunti for RSS feeds
Molly for Signal
Telegram FOSS
Aegis for 2FA
QickDic (dictionary)
TinyWeather
Threema Libre (not free)
I tend to switch mobile OSs frequently because of my curiosity for custom ROMs. Overall I mainly use FOSS Browser or iodé Browser (a fork of FF by iodé OS) and Tor on my mobile.
On my work notebook it is FF with AdBlocker (and Snowflake), rarely Edge, and Tor.
On my private notebook, which I use the least, it is FF with NoScript, Privacy Badger, and AdBlocker and Tor.
Vaultwarden for work, KeePass and KeePassDroid for private use.
Not free, but (finally) open source: Threema Libre
Starting with heart I alternate between the two of them.
No app is completely uninstallable. But the one app in Iodé that can’t at least be uninstalled via system settings is the Iodé tracking protection.
Iodé is considered one of the more secure custom ROMs and friends of mine and me are quite happy with it (running on a Terracube 2e, a Fairphone 3, and a Fairphone 4).
