      To be fair, I think a PC / cross platform game would have more success due to a wider audience. But a lot of those clones often fail to understand the very basic things that make Smah Bros such a great title.

        Also Rivals 2 will likely do well. If anything, we’re seeing platform fighters getting more and more recognized as a genre rather than one game and a bunch of clones.

          yeah im hoping rival 2 does well long term. also hope that custom content community if possible thrives with it.

      I thought the Nickelodeon one had a lot of potential but they really fumbled it with the small cast, lack of voice acting, and bad netcode in the beginning. It was eerie seeing the Nickelodeon characters be utterly silent while hitting each other.

      Agreed. I think 2XKO could be big enough and accessible enough to bring in Smash players. Riot probably realized they were cannibalizing their own hit game

    Making a smash clone before ultimate dropped was smart. The market was clearly ready for a good platform fighter and Sm4sh was easy to upstage. But now its a lot more questionable. You have to have everything right, gameplay, roster, marketing, and luck to stand a chance.
