What happens when we report someone via the “Show Report Dialog” shown in the post? Does the report go only to the community mod or does it also go to the instance admin?

I ask because I reported an obvious troll and I find it weird that he is still not banned.

I’ll add to this… I got back on my computer and it said “report created” or something… some poor dude probably got reported from my bumping my mouse or something. I checked and have no idea who got the unlucky click, and there seems to be no log anywhere… haha woops. Sorry rando

Aah, I see. I didn’t feel like clicking the report button to see what happens just in case it had no confirmation and couldn’t be bothered reading up. Thanks for the info

That happened to me too, I was replying to someone and when I hit the ‘add comment’ button it said ‘report created’. Like, nooo! I was just trying to have a nice convo about a kitty! 😭

They do something. I am a mod of /c/[email protected] and receive reports. I am however, unsure if the instance admin also receives them. There should be better mod tools for sure. There should be an option to “escalate report” to the instance admins, for a proper ban.

I know you’re doing your best, with the site growth and all, sorry if the joke was bad taste

Oh no, it is all good. I found it funny, I just wanted to make sure that people know that reports are working…
