    Eh, don’t associate by condition.

Like, it isn’t a club or whatever, you’re an individual, and your needs are individual.

Ok, sure, I’ll use more words:

I find it extremely frustrating when someone overtly, ham-handedly, and very publicly leans into negative stereotypes of the condition that I have lived with for decades, thereby perpetuating and exacerbating said negative stereotypes in a very reductive fashion.

You don’t seem to understand how neurodivergence works. Like, at all.

You gonna tell me to just be less depressed and have a better work ethic next?

No, he would probably tell you to take your medicine is exactly the dose prescribed for you individually.

Just like someone in court should get his regular prescribed dose. The fact that it even needs to be requested openly in court and isn’t automatic is the problem here.

That’s not how I’m reading this situation at all.

If he wasn’t getting prescribed medications at all, that’s not ok, and his lawyers should have led with that.

If there’s some nuance of the medication - either ongoing or emergent - that needs to be addressed, then it should be addressed by a medical professional. As far as I understand the situation around the request/medication that he’s making, lawyers should not be involved here, full stop.

That is exactly how I read the article:

“Bankman-Fried has been prescribed Adderall 10mg tablets, 3-4x/day to treat his ADHD”

“Their client has been doing his best to remain focused during the trial for the past two weeks, despite not having his prescribed dose of Adderall during trial hours.”

“Bankman-Fried had only been given a dose of Adderall in the early mornings before he arrived at court for his criminal trial. The early dose would wear off by the time the trial began.”
