About two months ago, I made this post looking for recommendations for a potential mobo replacement for my PC. Well, I’m happy to report that everything is back to normal. But while I have my PC disassembled, there are two unrelated issues that I wanted to take care of.
The first is one that has been presented since I built this rig but didn’t ruin the overall experience. My motherboard (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi) comes with bluetooth but there’s just one problem; it barely works. For example, it will recognize and connect my Xbox Elite controller but switch from connected to disconnected and back multiple times. It can’t maintain a consistent connection. Every bluetooth device that I’ve tested does this. I’ve let it linger since it wasn’t a top priority during daily use.
The second problem concerns the on-board sound. Some time last year, my speakers stopped outputting sound. I fiddle with the speaker port on back but only buzzes would be produced. The speakers themselves work since I connected to the headphone port and sound is being outputted.
Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

I have had bad experiences with onboard audio and bluetooth on desktop machines. Might be easiest just to get a USB adapter for both and just not worry about the motherboard issues.
I personally like this DAC. Can confirm it works out of the box on both Windows and Linux.
I would also check in the Sound screen to make sure the right output device is selected. Could be audio is going to a monitor or something silly.
You were right about the sound settings. I just did fiddling around and, suddenly, sound was being outputted! Thanks for that advice!
Sweet, glad that fixed one of your problems!
