About two months ago, I made this post looking for recommendations for a potential mobo replacement for my PC. Well, I’m happy to report that everything is back to normal. But while I have my PC disassembled, there are two unrelated issues that I wanted to take care of.
The first is one that has been presented since I built this rig but didn’t ruin the overall experience. My motherboard (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi) comes with bluetooth but there’s just one problem; it barely works. For example, it will recognize and connect my Xbox Elite controller but switch from connected to disconnected and back multiple times. It can’t maintain a consistent connection. Every bluetooth device that I’ve tested does this. I’ve let it linger since it wasn’t a top priority during daily use.
The second problem concerns the on-board sound. Some time last year, my speakers stopped outputting sound. I fiddle with the speaker port on back but only buzzes would be produced. The speakers themselves work since I connected to the headphone port and sound is being outputted.
Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

Do you have the wifi antennae attached to the motherboard? I think most if not all also use them as antennae for bluetooth, and I know I had much better connection to mine once I put those on (range still sucks but the connection is pretty stable in the area around the PC).
As for the speakers, idk, my first thought was Windows specific but based on your other post it looks like you’re on Linux of some variety.
