Are there any currently maintained FOSS apps for continuous/periodic sharing of location? I am looking for something similar to Google Map’s “Share My Location” option. All the FOSS apps I could find appear to be abandoned.

It’s a more robust solution than you’re looking for, but you can accomplish this using Home Assistant. Using the mobile phone integrations, you can share your location.
