Vietnam, Korea and the middle east should’ve shown that having an expensive army does not mean that you will win.
In a war of attrition, the US will fall first
Maybe they would lose against the rest of the world in a war of attrition. But other western countries are not likely to go to war against the US. In that situation given the US has the biggest economy how would they fall first?
Money doesn’t linearly correlate to millitary power, to be clear.
