There’s nothing on the list that I’m really looking forward to. I might try out the Super Mario Bros. Wonder update, but that’s it for first parties. This is mostly good news, it means I can go through my backlog and catch up!
That said, there’ll probably be a Direct in January/February to announce new games coming out in 2026 and maybe even some shadow drop…
I am looking forward to Pokopia, Wonder, Yoshi, FE and Splatoon Raiders.
I am not 100% sold on Pokopia but going to keep an eye on it. As for FE, I am still playing FE: Three Houses, and have FE: Engage to play after that, so won’t be getting FE: Fortune’s Wave anytime soon. Wonder I missed, as I was playing other games, so now will wait for the Switch 2 version.
Yoshi and Splatoon will probably be day-1 releases though, but you never know, was planning to play Metroid Prime 4 day-1 too.
Pokopia looked interesting, but it’s a game key card, so I’m definitely not going to consider it. Yoshi looks really cool, I might consider it if the reviews are really good. But I haven’t really played/enjoyed much of the Yoshi games since the SNES.
As someone who only buys digital, game key cards doesn’t effect my buying decision, but sad to see Game Freak (it’s Game Freak, right?) opting for GKC.
I (and my family) loved Yoshi’s Crafted World, so we are really hyped for the next Yoshi game. If I am not busy with anything else, that is pretty much a guaranteed day-1 buy for us.
I have been looking forward to checking out Poktopia. And I might give Animal Crossing another whirl on the switch2.
I like the idea of Splatoon, but I never ended up playing them enough to justify buying another.
Splatoon Raiders is a single-player spin-off. So, if you didn’t play the previous games because they were multiplayer games, this can be worth trying.
