Apparently, the user whose PC order was canceled by Corsair without any “sensible” reason wasn’t an isolated case, as Corsair has confirmed that it also canceled DDR5 RAM orders placed on January 1. It wasn’t a mistake. The “mistake” was in not raising their prices as fast or as much as they possibly could, and so they just decided to not to honour it, and crank the price next time around - because they could.
This is pure greed, plain and simple.
According to the article, the price wasn’t the only incorrect thing, the kit itself was also out of stock. Corsair currently isn’t accepting pre-orders for this kit at all, so they’re not hiking the price for this product because they’re not selling it.
