I always call mine “bro” or “my son”. Rarely do I ever actually say his name lol.
Yeah, i always call her by her name, gusfraba, krampu’s little helper
I have “fat fuck” and “sheit for brains”. Love them to bits.
Only by her name Luigi, so she’ll learn it. That way I KNOW she’s ignoring me.
Almost everyday, but mostly a shorthand or a handful of nicknames.
Likewise. Many of those nicknames being elaborate phrases which include his name. He loves this.
I call my cat by his name, “buddy”, or just “cat” sometimes.
Never “my son”
EverSometimes. Other times just called him by nicknames like mate or dickhead. Depending on what he did.
Absolutely, among other names. She’s usually Margot, sometimes Meemers, Marmar, or Margalos, and sometimes she’s Stop Screaming.
Only Elliot because he knows his name and runs over when you call him. Sometimes he goes by “not my cat” when I’m looking for my cat and he shows up. (He is my partner’s cat)
Sully knows her name but dgaf and only reacts when she’s in trouble and I bring out the big guns (Sullivan). She’s usually just “my little girl” or “my little angel” otherwise.
No I don’t have a favourite why do you ask
Cheddar Biscuit has a lot of nicknames. Mr Biscuit. Lord Cheddington von Biscuit shorts. Little Baby Biscuit Boy. Master Biscuits. Cheds. Little Lad. Just a guy. Simply a fella.

Nope.
Always one of 3 or 4 nicknames.
Yes, he knows his name and he comes running.
He also knows the dogs name, and the dog knows his name. Can’t possibly miss out on any treats the other one might be getting.
My cats only come running when they hear the other cat’s name get called. They only respond to FOMO.
Booker gets yelled at a lot so he very much knows his name well. He also knows Book or BookBookBookBook.
Hollow on the other hand does get called by his name, but he couldn’t care less. They both do get called several nicknames as well.
I call my cat by his name (and sing songs with his name substituted into the lyrics) all the time.
He’s deaf.
I’m not good with nicknames. I call mine either “boy,” “my boy,” “squishy,” “swishy,” “lovey.” My wife calls him “perfect angel baby.” She’s better at nicknames than I am. 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever called a cat by its name. Depending on what they’re doing it’s either “hey”, “pspsps”, or snapping fingers. I don’t think the cats care either. But names are useful when talking to other humans like “Muffin picked a fight with Potato yesterday. Potato won”
