Sync is unfortunately not being developed any more. It will stop working completely when Lemmy 1.0 rolls out. I suggest coming terms with it and start trying out other apps so you’re not caught off guard when the day comes.
It won’t really stop working completely right after v1.0.0 is released, because v1.0.0 will have some v3 API compatibility for a while just for this case. But that too will be removed at some point.
Adds an API wrapper so that existing clients can keep working with Lemmy 1.0 without any changes. This will make upgrading much easier as we wont have to wait for all clients to be updated to the new api. Besides some clients are now unmaintained and will probably never get updated.

Oh neat, I didn’t know about that! Still though, I would advise moving to a client that is actually being actively developed.
