I hope I’m as tough as people like that if and when I get to that age. I like hillwalking and bump into them every so often. I’m fairly capable out on the hills but I take a pretty leisurely approach; I’ll bring a good sandwich and stop to eat it somewhere with a nice view, take a little detour to see something interesting, that sort of thing. One time when I was out I overtook one very old lady four times because every time I stopped she just marched on by like a goddamn machine.
