I ask bunch of questions about the task to try and push the meeting exactly as close to lunch time as necessary so that when I get back to my work its immediately time to turn back around and go to lunch.
Yeah, I feel this one. We currently have significantly less dev velocity than the velocity at which requirements come in. So, unless something actually is the highest priority *right now*, there’s a pretty low chance of it ever being worked on.
And then, yeah, I can be “professional” and say that we’ll work on it when we find time for it. That’s technically not a lie.
But we both know that it’s not going to happen, so it’s actually better for the customer to take that reality at face value and find another solution.Why is the Socratic method my favorite?
