Yes, you can follow mastodon users and they can follow you. You can see what each other post, basically. I tested it out with my Mastodon account and my kbin account.

yep! kbin fully supports microblog content and all kbin posts appear as they should on mastodon
I don’t know about this app in particular but if it fully implementes kbin’s api it should work
