        Not much to elaborate there. It’s mostly used by people who generally behave in a way that I consider unacceptable and destructive. The solutions themselves have issues too (such as the practical inability to remove already posted content) but I’m not talking about that.

          I see I see. I will admit until Lemmy I never experienced the whole “tankie” thing, along with other interesting discourse. I respect the view.

          To offer some additional thoughts though, I believe these people have always existed on the Internet, just “elsewhere”. However, federation means they are more likely to come into visibility for the average person. It’s the flip side of not having a central entity making all the decisions - control is entirely in the hands of the individual to block/filter the content/sources/users they don’t want to see.
