The thing that I cant let go of is that I pulled him through some really heavy emotional events in his life, I was literally the only person he confided in and he always shared his appreciation for it. In private. But in hindsight I realized he’d been degrading me since day 1 whenever anyone else was around. Maybe he thought id change if others liked me, or if I became successful. Maybe he joined the business to make sure it never left the ground. Well… didnt go as expected. Had it been a sudden knee jerk response perhaps I could let it go, but it’s the intention and planning that turned him into not just an ex friend but an enemy in my eyes.
