Destress? Destress?! Why don’t I just put on my destress helmet, wiggle down into my destress cannon, and fire myself off into destress land where destressors grow on destressies?

I think it was a typo. I think what they wanted to say was “de-dress”.

Oh yeah. If you are treating blepharospasm though just plain old saline eyedrops (NO astringents) are key. You also need to use them frequently, like once every 3h while awake for a couple of days. Drop screen time to absolute minimum and really try to get 3-4 nights of decent sleep time (if at all possible). Everyone is different and those of us that get these spasms know they can last for quite awhile, and are difficult to treat. Nonetheless, strongly recommend this protocol - give it a try next time.

I’m on month 2 of an eye twitch. Last time it was 4 months in my arm and before that 4 months in my other eye.

That’s pretty wild. I have epilepsy and get seizures that are exactly as you describe, though I don’t think I’ve had one for a month.

If you’re still turning to tonic water (or anyone else is looking to try this), you can buy tonic syrup and throw it in some soda water. It’ll taste way better

I personally don’t think so. If you’re buying the cheapest of the cheap it’ll just be bitter, fizzy, and stuffed to the gills with corn syrup but it’s serviceable. There’s plenty of easily accessible good quality tonic water in the states. I like tonic syrup because it gives you more control over the flavor of the drink you’re making. If.you’re taking it medicinally then syrup would probably be more palatable too, or at least easier to get down if you don’t care for the flavor. It’s typically a little sweeter and flavored with more botanicals than regular tonic water

Yoooo this actually worked. Had a glass-ish amount a couple nights in a row and have had no problems for over a week now! Thanks for the tip

This is how you end up with astigmatism. Don’t rub your eyes like this.

If you’re on Windows 11, go to the Start Menu and type “Night Light” and setup your screen so it’s super yellow. Or, alternatively, download the F.lux app which does the same thing. It’ll look disgustingly yellow for the first minute and then you won’t realise it’s on. Then, feel your eye strain wash away :D.

I had eye twitching, went to an eye doctor and I had some mild astigmatism that my eyes were trying to compensate for and getting exhausted, especially when staring at computer screens, they don’t twitch now with glasses.
