- Biggest and longest isn’t always better and with them highlighting the amount of cutscenes I’m thinking it’s going to be an example of that
- Despite the headline, the length of cutscenes wasn’t their justification for the length of the game, just a separate question. - It’s going to be a story-driven action game, of course it’s gonna have hella cutscenes but from what’s been shown so far, I’m actually looking forward to it.
- Kingdom Hearts 1 had 4.5 hours of cutscenes, and that game came out in 2002. “Nearly 4 hours” is nothing, imo.
- Yay I love sitting at my computer with mouse and keyboard in hand watching my character do things. /s
- so it’s not a game per se, but an “interactive novel”.
- Yay, a shitty movie.
- 4 hours of cutscenes is not my idea of playing a video game. If I wanted to watch a movie then I’d go to the movies. - It’s okay, you guys are allowed to be objectively incorrect. - A thirty hour game with four hours of cut scenes would be less than ten minutes of cut scene per hour of game, on average. Doesn’t seem too bad to me. - But, I am also more okay with an “interactive movie” than some.
- Can’t confirm, I love the Yakuza series largely because of their incredible cutscenes. They have an incredible trifecta: - challenging boss fights
- fun side content
- top tier cutscenes
