I know you didn’t ask and this is just anecdotal evidence from my employer, but the people who tried to reverse engineer this guys work were given strict deadlines they never met. Pen testers to straight up turnaround kings, this guy buried them all and had to be bought out. It was cheaper to buy him out than it was to pursue the next step. Stay safe my friend, stay valuable.

We recently had to buy out a director that kept all the technical knowledge to themselves for the last 20 years. They were almost always available 24x7 for outage calls and it became clear his teams didn’t know shit about anything, especially when said director was sick or on vacation. He was labeled a danger to the infrastructure and settled for a multimillion dollar buyout with a full knowledge transfer. Retirement age, fat 401k, company stock and other investments… yeah, he took that deal immediately, like no hesitation.

Wasn’t Baldur’s Gate 3 a massive success? 15 million copies, well over half a billion in gross revenue. Kingdom Come:Deliverance II, Clair Obsure, and Elden Ring also come to mind. Heck, even the VR TTRPG Demeo was a success, all in the last 5 years. I don’t understand.

I mean, I didn’t watch this video because I lost interest when the channel started getting really dark around 2020. I just needed a laugh during the pandemic. I didn’t need 4 videos in a row about the end of the world, then a few about the end of the universe, followed by a future civil war. It was too much.

Ok, but one could also argue that Nintendo was never going to release what this content creator made, it attracted more business to the official IP, the artist was expressing themselves through painstaking love for the content, and only asked for tips to support further creative adventures.

That’s great news kiddo! A bit of advice for the future… while the distractions of ADHD are very real, if you ever find yourself losing interest in the things you love, talk to someone who cares. I didn’t and I alienated myself from everyone I loved and cared about. If you’re my kidforaminute, I am so sorry. I can never get that time back with you and all I needed to do was ask for help and talk it out.
