NPR reports that six news websites in Alabama and Florida have been taking under-the-table payments from electric utilities in exchange for stories attacking alternative energy.

    Makes sense! I imagine the same thing is happening for us up in Maine. We have an internationally owned power company (I think Saudis and Spain or something?) and we are trying to replace them with a community owned project. Of course we’re starting to see loads of ads about just how great they are even tho they are literally twice the price of competing local companies.
