I wish we could go back to smaller vehicles again. I really dislike not being able to see around the monster trucks on the road. Oh also being blinded at night through my rear view mirror isn’t very fun.
It doesn’t even need to be a kei truck. There are 2 ton capacity trucks from Europe and Asia that are the size of a Ford Ranger and they’re unbelievably useful little things. Sure, the front crumple zone is your legs but keep off the highway and it’s probably fine. They’re brilliant little work trucks.
Size of the old Ford Rangers? The current Ranger is the size of the old F150s.
Probably means size of the Maverick, which is what the Ranger used to be
Yeah, the Maverick is the size of the 90s Ranger with an extended cab, which was bigger than the 80s one.
This is why I have a preorder in on a truck that’s shorter than my Impreza. I just hope that the thing gets to production.
1,700lb payload and north of 6,000lb towing (with probably no range on the towing, but honestly thst doesn’t matter to me). And it’s an EV.
I’d love to have a kei truck, and have been thinking of getting one (or converting my rabbit to a truck) but I’m terrified of getting creamed by another car in one.
I’d only drive something like that in areas with low speed limits. In the US, that is. Too many huge vehicles here.
Yeah, that’s my fear.
I drive a small car, but I appreciate the front crumple zone just in case.
