The sense of urgency to respond is artificial. There is no pressure to provide a ‘right’ answer. That’s why lies work in the conversation. They will work with whatever you give them. Take your time and be honest.

It is very hard for other people to build a relationship with a person who doesn’t give something to believe. Might as well read a book if they wanted a fake story. At least books are consistent.
