    I used to use Amarok probably 20 years ago, glad to see it’s still kicking.

      I haven’t thought about it since I had to sync my iPod with Ubuntu. Fuck I’m old.

    1.4 was the GOAT. Clementine took the mantle. Now strawberry I guess haha.

    I love how unknown projects move to modern toolkits and GIMP just moved to an almost 15 years old one.

    And yes I do know that GTK4 absolutely sucks for feature-rich applications.

      Calling Amarok an unknown project is a risky move.

      I’ll have you know it was THE Qt-based audio player… 15-20 years ago… cough

        Well now it’s not used anymore so it still counts imo.

    I didn’t know it was still in active development and had moved on to Strawberry some time ago :D

      It was picked up again a year ago or so.

    The article somehow managed to link to the 3.2 version, so here is the correct link to the 3.3 version. They also suggest flathub, but at the time I’m writing this, they haven’t updated to 3.3 yet.

    EDIT: What a battle getting the dependencies to match in order to compile. And it took 19 minutes to compile. ;_;
